[Assessment of the pulmonary vascular blood supply in patients with pulmonary atresia, ventricular septal defect and aortopulmonary collateral arteries].

چکیده
Method From January 1990 to June 2001, 40 patients were studied. Those who had the complete cineangiocardiographic study prior to the first surgical intervention were included in the study. The morphometric characteristics of the central pulmonary arteries (PPAA) and aortopulmonary collateral arteries (APCA) were analyzed, as was the distribution of blood irrigation to the lungs. The following indices were calculated: pulmonary arterial index (PPAAI), aortopulmonary collateral arterial index (APCAI), and total neopulmonary arterial index (TNPAI = PPAAI + APCAI). The surgical treatment was considered palliative (PT), palliative definitive (PDT), and definitive (DT).

Haemodynamic and anatomical characteristics of pulmonary blood supply in pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect - including a case of persistent fifth aortic arch.
Eight children with congenital pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect were investigated. The anatomy ofpulmonary blood supply was established by aortography and multiple selective injections of contrast medium into aortopulmonary anastomoses or pulmonary arteries. All patients were shown to have central pulmonary arteries (derived from the embryological sixth aortic arches). In 4 (gro...
متن کاملPulmonary atresia, "intact ventricular septum", and aortopulmonary collateral arteries.
In muscular pulmonary atresia, major aortopulmonary collateral arteries are characteristic of pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect and are rarely seen in pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum. Two unusual cases of muscular pulmonary atresia are reported, one with an intact septum and one with a perimembranous ventricular septal defect, closed in utero by aneurysmal tricus...

OBJECTIVE To describe the morphology of the pulmonary arteries in patients with pulmonary atresia, ventricular septal defect, and major aortopulmonary collateral arteries with and without monosomy 22q11. DESIGN A retrospective analysis of all patients with this congenital heart defect who are being followed at the University Children's Hospital Erlangen. SETTING A tertiary referral centre f...

Currently, there are two different major surgical approaches: one involves ma...
متن کاملAnatomy in Patients with 22q11 Deletion and Pulmonary Atresia with Ventricular Septal Defect and Major Aortopulmonary Collaterals
We performed a retrospective analysis of patients with and without 22q11 deletion undergoing surgery for pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect and major aortopulmonary collaterals between January 2004 and August 2009 at our institutions. Information was collected on collateral origin, arch sidedness, presence of central pulmonary arteries, and presence of an aberrant subclavian vesse...
